Are you a good listener?
Unfortunately, Listening is often mistaken for Hearing. Hearing is simply an instinctive activity. Listening is intentionally taking information from speakers, while staying emphatic and nonjudgmental. Listening acknowledges the speaker in a way that invites the communication to continue while providing limited but encouraging input. This then pushes the talker's idea one step forward.
Are you a good listener, or do you settle for simply hearing? Good listening skills are important to the health of any loving relationship.
